Nicole M.

Practice Manager

Nicole was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. She came to Macon County Veterinary Hospital in August 2011, when she and her husband purchased the practice from Dr. Murray. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and an Associate of Veterinary Technology from Morehead State University in 2005. Nicole comes with 15 years combined veterinary experience, working 2 years at Hagyard-Davidson-McGee Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky and 5 years as the head veterinary technician at Miami Valley Animal Hospital in Dayton, OH. In her free time, Nicole enjoys riding her horses, Tahani and Foxy, playing tennis, and spending time with her two daughters, family and friends. At home Nicole has three cats, Kali, Tux, and Princess.


Heather S.

Office Manager

Heather was born and raised in Florida and moved to Macon County in 2007. Between travels, Heather obtained her AAS degree in veterinary technology at Heritage Institute in 2015 and was a vet tech in veterinary emergency for 10 years. Heather enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading true crime books, and watching SEC football. She has two dogs, Bama and Georgie.


Lauren T.

Veterinary Nurse

Lauren was born and raised in Lafayette, Tennessee. She grew up on a farm with cattle and goats. Lauren attended Vol State University and graduated with an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2017. At home, she has two daughters, a dog, and a cat. She enjoys doing anything outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.


Trish S.

Groomer

Trish has always had a love of animals. After working for several years on the Ringling Brothers Circus and getting up close and personal with some wonderful and exotic animals, she knew she wanted to pursue an animal related career. In 2010 she moved to Nashville and went to Grooming School. Trish has worked in high volume salons in Nashville and Brentwood and even managed a salon for a few years. We now bring her years of experience and passion to Macon County Veterinary Hospital.


Matthew W.

Veterinary Assistant

Matthew is from Westmoreland, Tennessee. He started his Veterinary path with us in 2019. He plans to continue his education through Western Kentucky University Veterinary Program. He hopes one day to have his own Veterinary Practice.


Taylor K.

Veterinary Assistant

Taylor was born in Somerset, Kentucky. She moved to Lafayette, Tennessee where she graduated from Macon County High School in 2018. Taylor enjoys spending time with family and friends. She has a Rottie named Ace, and a cat named Flash.


Destinee S.

Veterinary Assistant

Destinee was born and raised in Lafayette,Tennessee. She is currently enrolled at Penn Foster College to obtain her associate degree in Veterinary Technology. Destinee has two cats, Binx and Link. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her daughter, husband and family.


Brianna B.

Veterinary Assistant

Brianna was raised in Hartsville, Tennessee. She attended Volunteer State Community College where she enrolled in Veterinary Assistant courses to start her career at Macon County Veterinary Hospital. Brianna is very compassionate and caring, and she loves her job. She has a dog named Murphy and 5 kids at home. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family.


Trinity D.

Client Service Representative

Trinity was born and raised in Lafayette, TN. She graduated from Macon County High school in 2019 while working in a small animal veterinary clinic. Trinity has grown up being around all different walks of life and has loved every minute of it! She spends her free time with family, friends and her dog. She has an English Bulldog named Lumpy.


Jalin W.

Veterinary Nurse

Jalin has been working in the Veterinary field since 2013 and has always had such a big love for animals. She’s from a small town in CA and then lived in Idaho for a little while. Then she finally made her way here to Lafayette, Tennessee. Jalin loves spending time with friends and family, reading, and traveling in her spare time. At home are 2 cats, Shadow and Taz, and a dog named Bandit.


Brooke E.

Veterinary Nurse

Brooke was born and raised in Lafayette, TN. She has always had a strong love for animals. Brooke graduated from Macon County High School in 2021. Most recently, she graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at Volunteer state community college in 2023. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, and loving on her fur babies at home. She has two cats, Little bit and Mater and two dogs, Gypsy and Libby.


Emma J.

Veterinary Assistant

Emma was born and raised in Lafayette, TN, where she graduated from MCHS in 2022. She has always had a strong love for horses and riding, so after graduating from high school she decided that she wanted to take a career path involving horses, so she continued her education at the American School of Equine Dentistry in Colorado in 2022. During her time at dental school she learned to perform routine and performance equine dentistry. In her free time, Emma enjoys spending time with her dogs Dally and Boone and her three horses.
